The Society’s first Midsummer Supper and social evening was
held on Friday 21st June at The Coach and Horses, Danehill,
East Sussex – a family run, traditional country pub and
restaurant in the heart of the Sussex countryside.

The Coach and Horses is a charming and popular free house
that prides itself on the quality of its real ale and award winning
food, which is all cooked to order, and before sitting down to a
mouth watering 3 course meal members had the chance to mingle
and socialise in the cosy bar areas.
SUPPER
There was an excellent raffle with a fine array of prizes which
amongst others included a gundog training session, a shooting lesson
at Northall Clay Pigeon Club, a free meal at The Coach and Horses,
and a Family ticket for the Edenbridge & Oxted Show.
JUBILEE AWARD
The evening also included
the presentation of the new
‘Diamond Jubilee Trophy’ which
was funded by some of the
proceeds of the raffle held at
the ‘Diamond Jubilee Dinner’.

The trophy will be awarded
annually to a member or non
member for their exceptional
‘Services to the Society’

during the previous year.

The first winner of the award
was Debby Breach, who was
presented with the trophy by
Gilly Nickols, SEGS Chairman.
