Candidates for membership of the Society must be ‘proposed’ and ‘seconded’ by two existing members of the Society with the ‘Proposer’ having been a member for at least 6 months.

The Applicant will then be considered for election by members of the Committee at the earliest opportunity.

A Joining Fee of £10.00 is paid by a new member on joining the Society and by any former member on re-admittance to the Society. The Joining Fee for Junior membership is £5.00.

Where possible please do not send a cheque. Once your application is approved you will be sent bank payment details.

Rules of the Society will be sent with requests for membership. For more information or requests for a Membership Application please contact the Membership Secretary or download the forms below.

It should be noted that whilst membership of SEGS entitles the member to receive the Society’s annual Year Book and to attend Training Classes it does not guarantee entry to the Society’s

Additionally there are charges made to attend Training Classes, entry fees for Working Tests and entry fees for Field Trials.

Please note that the easiest way to pay for your membership is by BACS/online banking.

Simply complete your membership form and post (or email a photo of both pages) to the Membership Secretary.

Once approved, we will email you payment information.

GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION

One of the biggest changes to UK data privacy law came into effect on 25th May 2018. The General Data Protection Regulation, also known as GDPR, means that you’ll have more control over how your data is used. And it ensures that organisations protect your personal data better.

To reflect these changes and new obligations, we’ve produced a Privacy Notice which now tells you what we do with your personal data, how it’s used and your rights as an individual under the new law.

If you have any queries please contact the Membership Secretary
